McDonald’s to expand to Texas franchise

McDonald’s is expected to announce the launch of its first franchise in Texas in 2018, according to a report by Fortune.

The Texas franchise will be owned by the franchise player group of McDonald’s restaurants and will be based in Amarillo, the report said.

The company has been looking to expand in the Lone Star State for some time, and the report cites an anonymous source as saying that McDonald’s was working with local and national media to get a deal in place.

McDonald’s is currently the second-largest burger chain in the US, after Burger King.

The news comes after Burger Kings announced that it would expand its restaurants in Texas, which was announced on Friday.
