Firefighters battling a blaze at a pizza restaurant on the outskirts of Rome have been told to put out the fire by the city’s fire service.
Italia 2 reports that a fire broke out at the Pepperoni Pizza on Liguria Boulevard near the Piazza di Campania on Wednesday evening.
The fire, which was extinguished in about two hours, spread to the roof and left the building uninhabitable.
A source told the Italian daily that the fire brigade had already put out a number of other fires in the past three months and the restaurant had recently been closed for maintenance.
There are no reports of anyone being injured.
