Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan is set to make a franchise payment to the Packers franchise and is expected to sign a former Green Bay Packers guard with the team.
Khan will make a payment to franchise value and pay a $3 million signing bonus.
The Jaguars will pay $3.3 million in salary and $1.5 million in dead money, according to a source with knowledge of the transaction.
The payment is contingent on Khan approving a new stadium deal with the NFL.
The franchise’s stadium plan, which is still in development, was approved by the league in January.
