New Orleans Saints GM Mike Maccagnan and offensive coordinator Todd Haley to be part of NFC team’s ‘Franchise Value’ evaluation

The New Orleans Pelicans announced on Wednesday that the team has hired Mike MacCagnan as the new offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys.

MacCagnans contract was reportedly signed in January.

The former Eagles offensive coordinator was brought on as offensive coordinator after the Eagles fired Chip Kelly.

The Pelicans have also hired offensive coordinator and former Saints QB Chase Daniel to be the head coach of their new football team.

Daniel will join assistant head coach and offensive line coach John Fassel as the Saints’ quarterbacks coach.

The Saints are set to officially begin training camp on July 22 in the San Diego Chargers’ new stadium.

The team will be led by interim head coach Pete Carroll and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli.

The new Saints’ roster includes veteran veteran tackle Branden Albert, who is in the final year of his contract, and rookies Brandon Ingram and Jerald Hawkins.

Albert and Hawkins are expected to begin camp on the practice squad.
